Belleza sobre el Moldava. El nuevo puente de Troja

La compañía Metrostav publicó en su sitio web fotos del nuevo puente de Troja. El puente se pone a prueba con 24 camiones completamente cargados y 4 tranvías. Pruebas dinámicas y estáticas que se ejecutarán de forma continua hasta el sábado en los 262 metros de largo que tiene el puente.

La longitud total del puente es de 262 m, la altura total de la estructura soporte es de 34 m por encima máximo nivel del río para la navegación. El arco del vano principal  del puente es de 196 m.

La cimentación del puente es bastante profunda, con contrafuertes y pilares  perforados en la roca. El puente está diseñado en la disposición 2 x 2 carriles para automóviles, la parte central con 2 vías para los tranvías y dobles aceras para caminar y andar en bicicleta.

Desde el punto de vista del transporte, la construcción del puente de Troja es la parte esencial de la inserción de la circunvalación de Praga dentro de la misma.

Faculties @ CTU

There are several Czech Technical University campuses, and several other buildings that are used by the faculties of the university for teaching, research and other purposes. Most of the buildings are in Prague, but some are outside Prague too. CTU has 8 faculties, and their buildings are mainly located in Prague 6 (Dejvice main Campus) and/or in the city centre. The Faculty of Biomedical Engineering is located at Kladno, 30 km north-west of Prague.

The main campus is located at Prague 6 – Dejvice. This attractive and quite spacious campus is less than 10 minutes from the city centre by metro. It houses main buildings of the Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Information Technology. The rector’s offices, including international office area also there. The magnificent newly-built National Technical Library is located in the middle of the Dejvice campus, and the CTU incubator for spin-off companies spawned by CTU researchers is also on the campus. There is a metro station (Dejvicka) adjacent to the campus, and frequent airport buses leave from and arrive at the edge of the campus.

The faculty has a system of 32 vertical studios led by professors, senior lecturers and experienced architects. In 2010, the faculty introduced a new study programme in Industrial Design, with 3 different studios. The faculty moved into a fine new modern building in 2011.

The faculty has its own underground education center, the Josef Gallery, where students take practical on-site training in a real underground environment. The faculty is a member of ETCP – the European Construction Technology Platform. CTU student Jan Tilinger is implementing the Sun School project in the Indian Himalayas.

The CarTech team of students is now developing its third formula-type racing car with an internal combustion engine and also its first formula-type racing car with an electric drive. The car competes in races at the Hockenheim circuit in Germany every year.

The faculty generates 40% of the research results that count towards CTU's ranking as a major research university. It offers double degree and joint degree programmes. It is the only faculty in Europe that cooperates in research programs with all sections of the US Army. Is in 5th place in the Czech Republic out of a total of 373 research organisations evaluated by the Council for Research and Development CTU student Michal Kubínyi is a PhD student in the department of Measurement, the first CTU student and also the first Czech to participate in an international research project at NASA's Ames Research Center.

The faculty has a department for forensic analysis of evidence of a digital nature, and also carries out studies of methods for automating data mining processes. Research is being done on robots navigated by a stereoscopic camera, and on robotic toys suitable as accessories for voice communication between man and computer. The field of arbology has been established and developed at the faculty – this is a new theory providing a unified view of tree algorithms.

This Czech Technical University campus is located outside the capital city. The Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and the Faculty of Transportation Sciences offer bachelor programmes there.

This is the only faculty in the Czech Republic that has “nuclear” departments. It is the only faculty in the Czech Republic and perhaps in Europe that enables its students to work directly on a fusion reactor and also on a fission reactor. The faculty has its own VR – 1 nuclear reactor and the Golem fusion tokamak.

This is the only faculty specializing in work at the interface between technology and medicine. It is engaged in research on nanotechnologies for medicine, is developing new types of biocompatible thin layers /surfaces for implants, stents and new types of sensors. The faculty has a unique artificial lung ventilation unit. It is one of the cutting-edge workplaces in the field, contributing particulary to the area of high-frequency ventilation. Applications to study at the faculty have risen by almost one quarter within the last year.

Facultades de la CTU

Hay varios campus de la Universidad Técnica Checa, y varios otros edificios que son utilizados por las facultades de la universidad para la enseñanza, la investigación y otros fines. La mayoría de los edificios están en Praga, pero algunos también fuera de ella. La CTU tiene 8 facultades, y sus edificios están situados principalmente en Praga 6 (Campus principal Dejvice) y / o en el centro de la ciudad. La Facultad de Ingeniería Biomédica se encuentra en Kladno, a 30 km al noroeste de Praga.

El campus principal está situado en Praga 6 - Dejvice. Este campus atractivo y bastante espacioso está a menos de 10 minutos del centro de la ciudad en metro. Las oficinas del rectorado, incluyendo área de oficinas internacionales también se encuentran  allí. La magnífica nueva construcción Biblioteca Técnica Nacional se encuentra en el centro del campus. Hay una estación de metro (Dejvická) adyacente al campus, y los autobuses que van y vienen al aeropuerto salen y llegan al borde del campus.

Facultad de Ingeniería Civil


La facultad tiene su propio centro de educación subterránea, la Galería Josef, donde los estudiantes toman una formación práctica en el lugar en un ambiente subterráneo real. La facultad es miembro de PTET - la Plataforma Tecnológica Europea de la Construcción. Estudiantes de CTU están ejecutando el proyecto Sun School en el Himalaya indio.

El equipo Cartech de estudiantes está desarrollando su tercer coche de competición de tipo fórmula con un motor de combustión interna y también su primer coche de carreras de tipo fórmula con un accionamiento eléctrico. El coche compite en carreras en el circuito de Hockenheim en Alemania cada año.

Facultad de Ingeniería Eléctrica

Facultad de Tecnologías de la Información


La facultad cuenta con un departamento para el análisis forense de las pruebas de carácter digital, y también lleva a cabo estudios sobre los métodos para la automatización de procesos de minería de datos. Se están realizando investigaciones en robots navegadas por una cámara estereoscópica, y en los juguetes robóticos adecuados como accesorios para la comunicación de voz entre el hombre y el ordenador. El campo de la arbology se ha establecido y desarrollado en la facultad - se trata de una nueva teoría que proporciona una visión unificada de los algoritmos de árboles.

Esta es la única facultad en la República Checa, que cuenta con departamentos "nucleares". Es la única facultad en la República Checa y tal vez en Europa que permite a sus estudiantes a trabajar directamente en un reactor de fusión y también en un reactor de fisión. La facultad tiene su propia VR - 1 reactor nuclear y la fusión tokamak Golem.

Facultad de Ingeniería Biomédica


Esta es la única facultad especializada en el trabajo en la interfaz entre la tecnología y la medicina. Se dedica a la investigación en nanotecnologías para la medicina, y del desarrollo de nuevos tipos de biocompatibles delgadas capas / superficies para implantes, prótesis y nuevos tipos de sensores. La facultad tiene una unidad de ventilación pulmonar artificial único. Es uno de los lugares de trabajo de vanguardia en el campo, lo que contribuye particularmente a la zona de ventilación de alta frecuencia. Las solicitudes para estudiar en la facultad se han incrementado en casi un cuarto en el último año.
